OK, and your point being? What happened 1,000 years ago doesn't really interest me that much anyway. Being Brazilian I guess you always live in the past as your country is very undeveloped. At any rate, it is one of your "viking" countries (Iceland) that is going bust, not mine. Hope they are happy about their forefathers' conquests...why don't they sit there and feel proud while their own country is going bust...

Norse blood flows thoroughly thick in England, which was hit by not one - but three major and unrelated infusions of Scandinavian settlers over a 600-year period. Each period of invasion destroyed the existing power and social structures and either totally replaced or substantially altered resident genes and tongues

Dorrit Moussaieff, the "first lady of Iceland", is an Israeli born Jew, whose father is a Jewelry czar. Her grandfather is Shlomo Moussaieff who is one of the wealthiest real estate moguls in Jerusalem. Shlomo got his start robbing graves for jewelry. Iceland's Prime Minister, Geir Hilmar Haarde was educated by Jews at the Brandeis University in the U.S. as a Wien Scholar. Once again the Jews have infiltrated and destroyed another western country, just like they did in the Weimar Republic.

I think EU will say yes to have you, and I guess that's a good chance for you to join. If icelenders not want to join, it must be strange to use Norwegian money. It could be an option offcourse, since the Norwegian krone and Swiss franc (Non EU currencies) are the most stabile currencies on planet.

there are some debate about that EU says we can join quick but then there are other possibilities like using the Norwegian Króna

You are probably correct, but the government must have been blind. And this crise on Iceland was predicted 5 years ago. You know, when you don't have a high GDP pr capita, and just loan and loan and loan more money, it ends very bad.

very unfortunate , Icelanders are proud decent people... it angers me to see the banks devouring this great nation,

Will Iceland join EU? Remember Finland and Sweden joined when they struggled economically a while ago. I think EU will be good for Iceland, then their currency can be stabile, and EU can transfer lots of money to get things up and running again. I know EU helped poor countries before.

It's very interesting to read Helge Ingstad's books about the Norse settlements in America, they found many evidences as well, so it's documentated.
