It's fascinating, but I've just noticed that the runway designations are the wrong way round... Runway 27 should point west towards 270 degrees and Runway 09 should point east towards 090 degrees. Other than that it's brilliant!

Being a licensed USCG Master (Captain) I find this NOAA VR experience a fantastic tool. I use NOAA's weather pages to keep my passengers and crew safe by avoiding bad weather. Im happy to see NOAA taking the jump into the 3D world. You guys are fantastic to do this! Good job!

Hey Joeevjen, Good eyes! The windsock follows the Second Life wind model so it changes all the time. Also, since the runway is at the end of our land (reality) the plane can only land one direction.
