"There comes a time in a man's life when he realizes..." that his love never really died, but, indeed, laid asleep deep inside his very heart.

"I lost interest after the Next Generation left the air."
I hate to admit the same thing.
The other programs were not bad. When I attempted to become hooked on the others, it reminds me of Scotty's statements in "Relics."
"There comes a time in a man's life when he realizes that he just can't fall in love again."

Just saying: Archer deserved the right to say "To boldly go where no man has gone before". In my opinion he was the best Captain in all the types of Star Trek, and a good actor to boot ;p

Does this ending mean that the entire series is historically accurate or just a fictional "television show" that Riker and Troi were watching? If so thats a lot of T.V. for one afternoon.

I have to disagree. I enjoyed that whole series immensely. Loved the actors, the characters, the stories. It captured my imagination. You can't "prove" me wrong. It was powerful to me, the whole series and it felt cut off too soon at the end.
I'm not trying to convince you to like it. Your taste is your own as is mine. Just don't get all self-righteous in your assessment of a story and a series. To each his own. I loved the Enterprise series and would have loved to see it continue.

best scene from series that I've seen(might give it a chance if I can find a CHEAP used copy)it went downhill with Jeri Ryan and Jolene Blaylock's implants TNG was the BEST! DS9 is underrated but when they started pandering to the adolescent hormones at the expense of their credibility it lost it's way. No coincidence it was after Roddenberry passed. He would NOT have let it come to this. I will new movie a chance out of curiosity but you can't mess with perfection!

I didn't mind that the last episode basically took place on the holodeck of the Enterprise D. But one thing that made it hard to believe was that it was supposed to take place during the events of the TNG episode "The Pegasus", but Riker and Troi still look significantly older than they did in that episode. hehe

I was skeptical at first. I didn't give this series a chance when it was on TV. however i got the entire DVD series and was blown away. i wish it would have continued. superb acting and storylines detrimented only by their early cancellation. what a loss. buy this now,you will enjoy it (even my wife who is not a scifi addict loved this series) |
